Trade Centre

Toy Traders has a unique concept, in which you can trade-in your new and used items for an in-store credit. With the in-store credit you can purchase new or used product. Traded-in items are checked over carefully to ensure safety and then they are thoroughly cleaned. These items have a 30 day warranty with receipt.

Trading Toys

Items may be brought to the Trade Centre Tuesday-Saturday: 10-5pm, located to the right of the main entrance. There is no appointment necessary and the average trade completion time is 5 to 30 minutes. While you browse the store, the Trade Staff will calculate a value based on the condition of the items (this includes cleanliness and completeness). Once a value has been calculated, you will receive an in-store credit in the form of Trader Bucks. Trader Bucks have no expiry date and are tax-free. Trader Bucks are fully transferrable and make for a great gift or charitable donation.

Trade Items We Do NOT Accept

The following list is meant to be a guide and is subject to change without notice. There are various factors as to why we cannot accept certain items: current demand, recalls, safety, cleanliness, completeness, and items that are problematic. We do not accept the following items:

We do accept plastic dolls and accessories for Fisher Price, Playskool, and Little Tikes. Please contact our Trade Centre for details

VIDEO GAMES
We Do NOT Accept:
Computer games and accessories
Interactive electronic games and devices that plug into the TV
Leap Pad and TAG systems
Video game consoles, controllers and accessories
Video Games for PlayStation, PS2 or XBOX
NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB video games for any system
Exceptions:
We do accept hand held game systems and games for Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi and Leapster 2
We do accept PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii video games

OUTDOOR ITEMS
We Do NOT Accept:
Sports equipment and rollerblades
Large metal swing sets
Tents and tunnels
Ball pits
Inflatable items
Motorized ride-ons that are missing battery or charger
Large trampolines

Trader Bucks

Trader Bucks are a store credit for Toy Traders. They have no expiry date and are tax-free. Trader Bucks are fully transferrable and make for a great gift or charitable donation.

Return Policy on used items

All used items are fully warrantied and can be returned within 30 days with receipt. If used product is returned in original condition within 30 days, a full in-store credit is given. However if the item is defective or the item is retuned within 48 hours, a full refund will be given based on original payment type.
